CAD Technician - Roads

As a Senior CAD Technician at UK iCRC Communities, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with the UK discipline team to bring various infrastructure projects to life. Your responsibilities will involve independently creating engineering drawings in compliance with the set standards, actively participating in the design process across multiple projects, and utilizing software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other design tools for drawing production. Your key competencies should include a solid grasp of AutoCAD or MicroStation to develop layouts, interpret CAD drawings for engineering investigations, convert basic sketches into detailed working drawings, coordinate with design teams for production, and maintain CAD standards. Moreover, you must possess experience with UK project requirements and design standards, while demonstrating knowledge of technical design guidance and standards in the civil engineering sector. In addition to your mandatory skills, familiarity with Civil 3D design and awareness of Revit are desirable. Your qualifications should include an ITI or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent, along with 4 to 7 years+ of relevant post-graduate experience. It is essential to have Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation user certification and be working towards a recognized professional qualification. Furthermore, as part of your role, you will be expected to contribute to the development of your team members, adhere to health and safety policies, and actively engage in personal development under the guidance of your line manager.
