CAD Technician - Roads

Role Overview: As a Senior CAD Technician at UK iCRC Communities, you will be part of the UK discipline team, working collaboratively to develop and deliver projects from feasibility to construction stages. Your role will involve independently developing engineering drawings in compliance with relevant standards and actively participating in various infrastructure schemes. Key Responsibilities: - Develop engineering drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other design software - Play a proactive role in the design process and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously - Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures - Take ownership of personal development and support the growth of team members - Liaise with design teams to coordinate drawing production and maintain CAD standards - Review work produced by others to ensure high-quality output - Demonstrate proficiency in using standard office software - Supervise and coordinate CAD output within a multi-disciplinary project environment Key Competencies / Skills: Mandatory Skills: - Utilize AutoCAD or MicroStation to develop layouts, design details, and other concepts - Read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings to assist in engineering investigations - Work up drawings from basic sketches to full working drawings - Manage multiple projects and predict time requirements accurately - Understand UK design standards and technical guidance - Communicate BIM and CAD standards for civil engineering projects - Possess knowledge of relevant standards such as DMRB, MfS, TSRGD, HCD, and IAN 184 - Proficient in standard office software - Experience in supervising CAD output in a multi-disciplinary environment Desired Skills: - Knowledge of basic design using Civil 3D - Awareness of Revit Qualifications: - ITI or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent with 4 to 7 years+ post-graduate experience - Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation user certification - Working towards a recognized professional qualification with a recognized institution, such as EngTech Role Overview: As a Senior CAD Technician at UK iCRC Communities, you will be part of the UK discipline team, working collaboratively to develop and deliver projects from feasibility to construction stages.
