Job Description

A CAD Engineer creates detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and blueprints using specialized software, translating engineering and design concepts into production-ready plans. Their responsibilities include collaborating with engineering teams, troubleshooting designs, overseeing CAD tools and processes, ensuring designs meet project specifications and standards, and supporting the entire project lifecycle from initial planning to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Modeling:

Create precise 2D and 3D models, technical drawings, blueprints, and plans using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.

Technical Collaboration:
Work with designers, engineers, and other cross-functional teams to understand project goals and challenges, and to ensure designs meet technical specifications.

Design Support:
Provide technical support, conduct design reviews, and modify CAD models to support ongoing engineering projects.

Testing and Troubleshooting:
Perform testing and simulations, troubleshoot design issues, and ensure the feasibility and accuracy of designs.

Process Management:
Maintain and develop CAD tools, configure programs, and oversee QA testing programs to improve efficiency and accuracy in the design process.

Project Lifecycle Support:
Be involved in various stages of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and budgeting to the final manufacturing and marketing of products.

Material Selection:
Select appropriate materials and components for products, ensuring they are cost-effective and efficient.

Standards and Compliance:
Ensure that designs conform to relevant legislation, industry regulations, and company standards.
