CAD Designer

Key Responsibilities 2D Drafting: Prepare detailed 2D technical drawings from sketches, specifications, or verbal instructions using CAD software. 3D Modeling: Develop 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications. Design Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and senior designers to understand design requirements and assist in the development of mechanical systems. Documentation: Maintain organized records of all drawings and design modifications, ensuring easy retrieval and version control. Quality Assurance: Review and revise drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest CAD tools and drafting techniques to enhance design efficiency and quality. Qualifications Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software such as Fusion 360, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks. Knowledge: Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and precision in drafting. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with team members and understand design requirements. Preferred Skills Experience with 3D modeling and simulation tools. Familiarity with industry standards and drafting conventions. Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
