C Testing

The QA Automation Test Engineer will be responsible for translating test cases into automation scripts using C# for GUI/API tests. You should adhere to coding standards and guidelines defined for automation and perform manual testing of web-based applications and web services in a client-server environment. Proactiveness in conducting both manual and automation testing is expected. A good understanding of web-based architecture is necessary to manage debugging of any web or server errors. You will independently execute functional, database, sanity, end-to-end integration, and regression testing while adhering to SCRUM guidelines. Reviewing code, fixing issues identified in automation runs, performing root cause analysis of script failures, and logging bugs are essential responsibilities. Identifying automatable test cases, assisting in automation planning, setting up test data, and executing automated test cases are part of the role. Effective communication with the QA Manager/Lead regarding issues, objectives, initiatives, and performance planning is crucial. Collaboration with stakeholders such as Development, QA, Project Manager, Business Analyst, and onsite teams is required for successful test coverage and quality assurance. Timely escalation and follow-up on blocking issues and deviations from standard operating procedures are expected. The ideal candidate will possess solid knowledge in automation testing, C#, and experience in testing web services and REST APIs. Proficiency in services testing tools like Fiddler, SOAP UI, and POSTMAN is necessary. Understanding SQA methodologies, database and SQL knowledge, experience with automation tools like Selenium, Protractor, or Playwright, and exposure to creating automation frameworks are essential. Familiarity with TFS/MTM, Agile/Scrum methodology, test data setup across multiple modules, and defect management processes is preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills are required. Successful teamwork, leadership abilities, knowledge transfer capabilities, and awareness of current technological trends are essential.
