Business Unit controller

As an Accountant at LSEG, you will be responsible for independently managing or supporting the Area Controller in all accounting aspects for an entity or a group of entities. Your key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring statutory and tax compliance for a Country or a group of Countries by collaborating closely with service providers. - Working with various business partners to ensure accurate and timely accounting of legal entities in enterprise systems and maintaining control over underlying processes. - Adhering to reporting timetables for month-end close, reconciling critical accounts with underlying documentation, and ensuring accurate transaction coding in line with accounting policies. - Collaborating with auditors to ensure timely completion of statutory and tax audits. - Participating in balance sheet and cost reviews. - Liaising with tax and transfer pricing teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax packs, booking tax provisions, and reviewing transfer pricing calculations. Qualifications required for this role include being a CA qualified professional with at least 2 years of prior experience in the specific areas mentioned above.
