About the role: As a Vendor Risk Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with our vendor ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive vendor risk assessments, ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements, and actively contributing to the enhancement of our vendor risk management framework. This role calls for keen attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and effective collaboration with various stakeholders. You will be responsible for: - Conducting end-to-end vendor risk assessments across different risk domains such as vendor deduplication, information security, financial stability, business continuity, regulatory compliance, and data privacy. - Collaborating with business units to understand their vendor requirements and associated risks. - Reviewing vendor-provided documentation, certifications, and audit reports to identify vulnerabilities. - Conducting Mystery-shopping activities when necessary. - Tracking and monitoring vendor remediation efforts to ensure timely risk closure. - Maintaining accurate vendor risk profiles and assessment records. - Assisting in the development and improvement of vendor risk assessment methodologies, tools, and processes. Additionally, you will: - Generate regular reports on vendor risk posture and assessment progress for internal stakeholders. - Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives related to vendor risk management as needed. Expectations/Requirements: - Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, IT, Risk Management, or a related field. - Experience: 2-5 years in vendor risk management, third-party risk management, internal audit, compliance, or a similar risk-focused role. - Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of various risk domains including information security, data privacy, financial risk, operational risk, and regulatory compliance. - Technology and User Experience Understanding: Appreciation for technology solutions and their impact on user experience for assessing vendor capabilities and risks. - Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for risk identification, assessment, and mitigation. - Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills for presenting complex information clearly, along with written communication for documentation and reporting. - Drive & Initiative: High level of drive, initiative, and self-motivation to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Continuous Improvement: Willingness to experiment, learn, and continuously enhance processes and personal skills. - Certifications (Preferred): CISA, CRISC, CISM, or other relevant certifications in risk management or information security.
