Business QA Credit Underwriting - Data Analytics - (AVP)

As an Analyst within the credit risk analysis unit of Institutional Wholesale Banking at Citi, you will play a crucial role in supporting the In-Business Quality Assurance Head of Data Analytics. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting the global strategy for and leading the implementation of a robust Data analytics and testing program for the Quality Assurance function related to Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) data governance - Providing effective challenge on the design and operation of data and credit processes within ICM, reporting any identified gaps and concerns through quarterly reports to ICG senior management - Developing processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy - Collaborating within IBQA teams and with QA Directors to provide analytics insights - Offering oversight and guidance on the assessment of complex data-related issues, structuring potential solutions, and driving effective resolution with stakeholders - Keeping the WCR IBQA team informed of relevant changes to rules/regulations and industry news - Supporting WCR IBQA Voice of the Employee (VOE) as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives Your role will also involve a hybrid work model, requiring office attendance three times a week. To excel in this role, you should ideally possess the following skills and exposure: Analytics and Business: - Good understanding of the Underwriting space in the Banking and Financial Services Industry - Relevant experience in data analytics, modeling, internal audit, or similar functions at an investment or large commercial bank - Solid grasp of Wholesale Credit Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk Processes Leadership: - Assisting colleagues in identifying opportunities for performance improvement - Demonstrating a continuous learning and improvement mindset - Proven ability to uphold organizational culture Competencies: - Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure - Effective written and verbal communication skills - Drive to learn new technologies and techniques - Experience in analyzing datasets and deriving actionable insights Technical: - Coding knowledge with proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python) - Experience with agile collaborative working - Proficiency in working with data and deriving insights Education: - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or similar discipline - Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, SAS, R, Alteryx - Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, QlikView, MS Power BI Citi provides various programs and services for physical and mental well-being, including telehealth options and confidential counseling.
