Job Role : Business Intelligence Engineer Job Locations: Pune Required Experience : 5 - 8 Years Skills : Data Pipeline, data analytics, datawarehouse, Data modelling Work Type: Contract Duration: 6Months Key Responsibilities: MicroStrategy Administration Development: Install and maintain MicroStrategy Intelligence server, library, web server and application tools suite. Design, develop, and deploy high-quality MicroStrategy dashboards, dossiers, and reports, including advanced visualizations and interactive features. Manage and maintain data models for reporting and analytics report configuration using MicroStrategy development and configuration tools. Data Analysis and Presentation: Perform data analysis, identify data quality issues and implement data cleansing and transformation procedures. Extend data model for custom requirements and interactive solutions Optimize query performance and improve dashboard load times.v Customer Engagement Collaboration: Translate customer business intelligence requirements into technical designs and product configurations. Work closely with customer sales and service organizations to define application metrics, reports, dashboards, data mapping, and other integration requirements. Gather and document business requirements from customers. Provide technical guidance and support for customers and internal teams.v Solution Delivery Support: Enhance existing solutions to match client requirements by configuring and customizing solutions using ORGANISATION S software, SQL and other technologies Test and approve software solutions, configurations and customizations Implement custom deployments of the ORGANISATION S product suite for clients Perform technical root cause analysis and outline corrective action for given problems Apply a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities in developing analytical solutions in a timely fashionv Teamwork Continuous Improvement: Work with other ORGANISATION S Integration Engineers and Business Analysts to share best practices and knowledge Provide input to ORGANISATION S s Product Management group on how to enhance future products. Required Skills/Experience: 5+ years of experience in customer-facing roles within a Business Intelligence environment 3+ years of hands-on experience with MicroStrategy products, including Intelligence Server, Library, Web, and Developer Tool Strong SQL skills, including advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and database design Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) In-depth knowledge of data handling, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling techniques Experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, AWS Glue, Data Integrator, Pentaho DI etc.) is a plus Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision making Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelors degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field Proficiency in Linux environments Willingness to travel up to 10% Valuable skills: Familiarity with data marts and data warehouses. Experience with Hadoop, Spark, or other Big Data technologies Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based data services Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, AWS Glue, Oracle/Pentaho DI, Azure Data Factory etc.) Experience with REST APIs and web services. Practical operational experience with installing, maintaining, and deploying applications and code in AWS or other cloud environments. Exposure/experience in Sales Domain (preferred).
