About the Role

Business Development Representative (BDR)

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify, research, and target potential clients through digital platforms, industry databases, and networking.
  • Generate qualified leads using cold calls, emails, social media outreach, and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain and grow a strong pipeline of potential business opportunities.

Client Engagement & Qualification

  • Initiate conversations with prospects to understand their IT requirements, challenges, and business goals.
  • Present and promote IT products/services such as cloud solutions, data engineering, software development, AI/ML, cybersecurity, integrations, and consulting services.

Collaboration with Sales & Technical Teams

  • Provide detailed insights about client needs to support proposal development and solution planning.
  • Participate in sales meetings and contribute to strategy discussions.

Market Research & Product Knowledge

  • Stay updated on IT industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the companys products, solutions, and value proposition.
  • Provide market feedback to support marketing and product development teams.

CRM Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities in CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, CEIPAL, Zoho, etc.).
  • Track performance metrics such as leads generated, meetings scheduled, and conversion rates.
  • Prepare and share weekly/monthly reports with sales leadership.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in business development, inside sales, or lead generation (preferably in IT).
  • Basic understanding of IT services such as cloud, data, software development, cybersecurity, and integrations.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with CRM tools and manage multiple tasks.
  • Goal-driven, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with IT consulting or SaaS companies.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or other prospecting tools.
  • Knowledge of lead qualification methodologies.
