Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure, VMware, and Virtualization solutions. The role will be responsible for managing renewals, generating new business, and positioning infrastructure and virtualization solutions to enterprise and mid-market clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development

Identify, develop and close new business opportunities in infrastructure, VMware, and virtualization solutions.

Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and referrals.

Engage with CXOs, IT Heads, and decision-makers to understand business needs and propose suitable solutions.

  • Renewals & Account Management

Manage renewals for AMC, support contracts, subscriptions, and licensing (VMware and allied products).

Ensure timely follow-ups for renewals, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.

Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business.

  • Solution Positioning & Pre-Sales Support

Position VMware, virtualization, server, storage, backup, and infrastructure solutions to customers.

Work closely with pre-sales and technical teams for solution design, demos, and proposals.

Prepare and present proposals, BOQs, and commercial offers.

  • Channel & OEM Coordination

Coordinate with OEMs and distributors for pricing, deal registration, and special bids.

Maintain strong relationships with VMware and other technology partners.

  • Market & Competition Analysis

Track market trends, competitor activities, and new technologies in infrastructure and virtualization.

Provide feedback to management on customer requirements and market opportunities.

  • Reporting & Documentation

Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and reports in CRM.

Ensure proper documentation of proposals, contracts, and customer communication.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of VMware, virtualization, servers, storage, backup, and IT infrastructure solutions
  • Proven experience in new business development and renewals management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of licensing, subscription models, and enterprise IT buying processes
