Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management & Relationship DevelopmentBuild, nurture, and strengthen long-term relationships with clients and strategic partners.Conduct client / service provider meetings, presentations, and business reviews.Serve as the primary escalation point for Client/Service provider issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Business Development Strategy & Execution
  • Drive BD strategies aligned with organizational goals and revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and client segments.
  • Develop and optimize sales pitches, proposals, decks, and bid documents.Lead initiatives to expand client portfolios across research, diagnostics, and allied healthcare services.
  • Team Leadership & Performance Management
  • Lead, mentor, and guide BD Executives and Associates.
  • Assign targets, review performance metrics, standard operating procedure documents are updated/ reviewed and ensure BD goals are met.Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and client orientation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with clinical, operations, project management, and leadership teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and project execution.
  • Ensure accurate handover of client requirements and monitor progress until closure.Collaborate with marketing for campaigns, outreach content, and brand positioning.
  • Pipeline & Reporting
  • Oversee CRM usage, ensuring all leads, opportunities, and interactions are updated.
  • Track BD KPIs (leads, conversions, revenue, engagement metrics).
  • Prepare and present weekly/monthly BD reports to leadership.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters preferred)
  • 5-8 years of experience in Business Development, preferably in clinical research, healthcare, diagnostics, or life sciences
  • Emphasizes site capacity, patient pool, and operational efficiency at the site level
  • Having experience on global capabilities, regulatory expertise, and ability to manage complex, multi-site trials is an added advantage
  • Proven experience managing clients and BD teams
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
