We're expanding our sales team to accelerate enterprise client acquisition and grow recurring revenue globally.

Role Summary

We're looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to generate, nurture, and close new business for our ecommerce development and AI solutions services — and to grow account value by cross-selling our Web Development, App Development, and Digital Marketing capabilities into existing and new client relationships. You'll own the sales funnel end-to-end from prospecting and outreach through proposal, negotiation, and closing primarily targeting international clients (USA, UK, Europe, UAE, Australia). This role is ideal for someone who understands ecommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce) at a business level, can credibly speak to AI-powered automation, agents, and integrations as value-adds to modern commerce stacks, and knows how to bundle in web, app, and marketing services to increase deal size and retainer value.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting

• Identify and qualify prospects via LinkedIn, Upwork, Clutch, cold email, and referral networks
• Build and manage a healthy, multi-channel outbound pipeline
• Research target accounts (mid-market to enterprise ecommerce brands) Sales Execution
• Conduct discovery calls to understand client pain points, tech stack, and goals
• Lead with Magebytes' core offerings ecommerce development, platform migration, performance optimization, AI automation/agents, ERP/CRM integration as the primary sell
• Identify and pitch relevant cross-sell opportunities in Web Development, App Development, and Digital Marketing to increase deal size and account value (positioned as extensions of the core engagement, not standalone commodity offers)
• Prepare and deliver proposals, SOWs, and pricing in coordination with technical leads
• Negotiate contracts and close deals within defined sales cycles

Pipeline & CRM Management

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date pipeline data in the CRM
• Track conversion rates by stage and report on funnel health
• Follow structured sales SOPs and handoff processes to delivery teams

Platform Engagement

• Manage and optimize Upwork and Clutch profiles/proposals
• Support RFP responses and enterprise procurement processes Relationship & Account Growth
• Nurture existing client relationships to identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities (retainers, AI add-ons, ongoing support contracts, web/app refreshes, digital marketing bundles)
• Package Web Development, App Development, and Digital Marketing as retainer add-ons for existing ecommerce clients to grow recurring revenue per account
• Collaborate with marketing on case studies, testimonials, and content that supports sales

Reporting

• Provide weekly/monthly sales reports with pipeline value, conversion metrics, and forecasts
• Share market/competitor intelligence with leadership

Requirements

Must-Have

• 2–5+ years of B2B sales / business development experience in an IT services, web development, or digital agency environment
• Proven experience selling ecommerce services (Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, or similar platforms)
• Strong track record of closing international clients (USA/UK/Europe/UAE/Australia preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Hands-on experience with LinkedIn outreach, cold email tools, and CRM systems (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, etc.)
• Experience with Upwork and/or Clutch bidding and proposal writing
• Strong understanding of the IT/software project sales cycle (discovery → proposal → negotiation → close)
• Comfortable working across time zones for international client calls

Good to Have (Plus)

• Experience selling AI-related services: automation, AI agents, chatbots, AI-powered integrations, or SaaS AI tools
• Familiarity with concepts like Agentic AI, MCP servers, AI workflow automation
• Experience selling ERP/CRM integration or API development services
• Prior experience in an agency serving enterprise or mid-market ecommerce brands
• Exposure to consultative/solution selling frameworks (MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sale, etc.)
• Experience bundling/upselling Web Development, App Development, or Digital Marketing (SEO, PPC, email marketing) services alongside a core technical engagement
