Job Description

  • We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team
  • This role is pivotal in driving our growth initiatives within the US insurance market
  • The ideal candidate will have 4 to 5 years of experience in outbound and international sales, particularly in B2B consulting services
  • Your expertise in cold calling and lead generation will be essential in identifying and nurturing new business opportunities, ultimately contributing to our success in the industry

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Create and execute business development strategies aimed at achieving company goals and financial targets
  • Identify New Business Opportunities: Research and identify potential clients and markets, focusing on the US insurance sector
  • Lead Generation: Conduct cold calls or drive email campaigns to generate new leads and set up meetings with prospective clients
  • Communication/Presentation: Present our solutions to prospects to convert then into new potential clients
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Foster long-term relationships with prospects, clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure repeat business and referrals
  • Negotiate Contracts: Lead negotiations and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for all parties involved
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to develop and implement client-focused solutions
  • Monitor Industry Trends: Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to refine business development strategies
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on business development activities, performance metrics, and market insights

Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • bachelors degree in business, Marketing, or a related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in business development or sales, with a strong focus on outbound and international sales

Sales Skills:

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a B2B environment

Communication Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders

Negotiation Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to facilitate successful contract discussions

Technical Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with CRM tools and business development software (eg, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc)

Strategic Thinking:

  • Ability to think strategically and develop effective growth strategies

Self-motivated:

  • A driven and goal-oriented individual capable of working independently and as part of a team
