Role & responsibilities
This is a cross-functional role that bridges product research, environmental clearance coordination, and business development. The candidate will identify new products for Environmental Clearance (EC), map new markets (including HVAC applications of Lithium Bromide), and support sales strategy through data-driven trade intelligence and market research.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Research & Market Mapping
Identify high-potential products relevant to chlorination, cyanation, bromine chemistry, and HVAC applications.
Study customer portfolios, value chains, and end-use segments across agrochemicals, oilfield chemicals, and specialty sectors.
Map product use cases across N-1/N-2 intermediates to propose feasible and profitable product additions.
2. Market Development
Build target customer pipelines for:
- Calcium Bromide
oil & gas service companies, EPC contractors
- Lithium Bromide
absorption chiller manufacturers, HVAC OEMs (e.g., Thermax, Trane, Broad)
- Chlorinated & cyanated intermediates
agrochemical formulators and tech manufacturers
Initiate pre-launch outreach and generate qualified leads in domestic and export markets.
3. Support for Environmental Clearance (EC)
Prepare internal product dossiers including process routes, input-output ratios, pollution loads, and end-use markets.
Coordinate with technical and EHS teams to gather data needed for submission to GPCB/MoEF for EC amendments.
Track industry trends and competitors EC filings to refine the product list submitted.
4. Sales & Customer Engagement
Share quotations, follow up on orders, coordinate sampling, and close deals.
Maintain updated pricing sheets, approval documentation, and customer feedback records.
Interact with prospective clients for technical clarifications and product onboarding.
5. Business Strategy & CRM
Create and manage customer and product pipelines using Excel/CRM tools.
Track KPIs for each product line: enquiry to order ratio, lead time, approval rate, etc.
Assist in strategic reviews with sales forecasts, market insights, and pricing trends.
6. Travel & Representation
Visit customer sites and participate in technical or commercial meetings.
Represent Vantage at exhibitions, buyerseller meets, and B2B forums as needed.
Prepare visit reports and feedback analysis to inform internal teams.
7. Import-Export Data Research
Use platforms like
Trademap,
Export Genius,
Zauba, or
DGCISto extract international trade data.
Identify new geographies and buyers for upcoming and existing products.
Analyze shipping trends, tariffs, HS codes, and competitor volumes.
8. Trade Intelligence & Market Research
Benchmark product pricing, freight norms, and end-use industry trends globally.
Identify opportunities for cost-effective product positioning and cross-border logistics optimization.
Create regular trade bulletins for the leadership team.
9. Competitor Monitoring
Study technical and market developments for agrochem intermediates and HVAC chemicals.
Provide monthly reports on competitor pricing, EC filings, and strategic movements.
10. Customer & Competitor Intelligence
Maintain databases of customer contacts, procurement leads, and decision-makers.
Track key raw material dependencies, supply chain risk, and customer buying patterns.
Identify customer-specific customization opportunities (e.g., grade specs, packaging formats).
11. Internal Coordination & Reporting
Work closely with Purchase, R&D, EHS, and Production teams for feasibility checks.
Consolidate product evaluation reports, business cases, and go-to-market strategies.
Prepare structured review presentations and EC documentation summaries.
12. Market Study
Identify leading manufacturers and consumers in
India, China, and Latin America, including technical grade users and formulation players.

Preferred candidate profile
B.Sc./M.Sc. (Chemistry) or B.E. (Chemical); MBA preferred. Industrial chemical Sales, API, Agro chemical, Intermediates sales
