Business Development and Sales Executive

Key Responsibilities

Market Development & Strategy

• Conduct market research to identify industries and applications for different grades of PVA (textiles, paper, construction, packaging, coatings, adhesives, FMCG, etc.)
• Map demand in domestic and export markets and develop segmentation strategies
• Define pricing, product positioning, and go-to-market plans
  

Sales & Customer Acquisition

• Identify, approach, and onboard B2B clients (manufacturers, distributors, converters)
• Conduct technical and commercial presentations to explain product applications
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals
• Develop long-term business relationships and repeat sales
  

Supplier & Sourcing Development

• Manage commercial terms with the supplier and coordinate procurement
• Work closely with supply chain and documentation teams to ensure smooth imports
  

Operational & Business Ownership

• Track pricing trends, landed costs, and competitor intelligence
• Ensure compliance with logistics, packaging, certifications, and technical documentation
• Maintain CRM, sales pipeline reports, and monthly revenue forecasts
  

Business Growth & Profitability

• Drive volume growth, improve gross margins, and develop product extensions
• Recommend value-added products and custom formulations for clients
• Build the foundation for a future independent PVA business unit

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Business Administration, or related fields
• 26 years of experience in Sales / Business Development roles (preferred: chemicals, adhesives, polymers, packaging materials)
• Good understanding of B2B chemical sales or industrial trade dynamics
• Strong commercial negotiating skills and customer relationship management
• Ability to independently build a product vertical from zero
• Good communication skills (English & basic technical writing)
