Business Analyst SQL

As a Business Intelligence Analyst in the IT Services and Digital Transformation consulting industry in India, your role involves translating complex operational data into clear, measurable business value. You will partner with C-suite leaders to design KPI frameworks, craft executive dashboards, and guide decision-making through evidence-based insights. - Elicit business goals, map end-to-end processes, and convert ambiguous requirements into structured analytical use-cases. - Design and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for cleansing, joining, and aggregating multi-source data for reporting. - Develop interactive Tableau/Power BI dashboards, ensuring data integrity, performance tuning, and pixel-perfect visual storytelling. - Conduct deep-dive analyses (trend, cohort, funnel) to uncover revenue drivers, cost leakages, and operational bottlenecks. - Lead stakeholder workshops, present insights, and build consensus around data-driven recommendations and roadmaps. - Collaborate with ETL engineers to enhance data models, implement CI/CD for analytics artefacts, and uphold data governance standards. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Engineering, Statistics, or related discipline. - 3+ years hands-on experience writing advanced SQL (window functions, CTEs, performance tuning). - Proven track record delivering BI solutions with Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik. - Expertise in requirement gathering, user stories, and Agile ceremonies. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Skills: - Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery). - Knowledge of Python/R for ad-hoc analysis and automation. - Familiarity with data-modelling techniques (Kimball, Data Vault). - Certification in CBAP, Tableau, or AWS analytics stack.
