Business Analyst

The Business Analyst role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements for the migration of the current in-house Identity Solution to the strategic Ping-based Identity Solution. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders from business, IT, and security teams to define clear, actionable requirements for the migration, ensuring alignment between technical teams and business objectives. In addition, you will assist in documenting workflows, processes, and user stories. To excel in this role, you must possess an understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles, encompassing federated identity management, Single Sign-On (SSO), and API security protocols like OAuth and OIDC. Your responsibilities will include mapping and analyzing current business processes related to IAM, as well as identifying areas for enhancement during the migration to the Ping solution. You should also have experience in recognizing potential risks, dependencies, and impacts on business operations throughout the migration process. Proficiency in working within Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban is essential for supporting iterative project management. You will utilize tools like JIRA and Confluence to ensure the timely delivery of business requirements. Your ability to craft clear, structured, and detailed requirement specifications, user stories, use cases, and workflows will be critical to the success of this role. Familiarity with Ping Federate, Ping Access, and related identity management tools is advantageous as it will enable you to grasp the technical aspects of the migration and translate them into business needs. Moreover, experience in leading or supporting change management initiatives, particularly concerning system migrations and process modifications, will be beneficial.
