Software Tester Location: Mumbai Experience: 2-3 years Job Responsibilities: • Design and execute manual test cases for websites and mobile applications across multiple browsers and devices. • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress. • Create and manage test documentation, including test plans, test cases, bug reports, and release checklists. • Generate and optimize test workflows, including regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing cycles. • Log and track issues in Jira or equivalent project management tools, ensuring clear reproduction steps and priority tagging. • Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage. • Perform API testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured, validating payloads, status codes, and edge cases. • Conduct cross-platform testing for Android and iOS apps, including installation, UI/UX validation, and crash reporting. • Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and release readiness reviews, contributing QA insights. • Continuously improve QA processes, suggesting tooling, automation strategies, and documentation enhancements. Qualifications: • 25 years of experience in QA/testing for web and mobile applications. • Proficiency in manual testing techniques, including exploratory, regression, and usability testing. • Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright). • Strong documentation skills, including writing clear, reproducible test cases and bug reports. • Familiarity with Jira, Trello, or other project management tools for issue tracking and workflow management. • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies, including sprint-based QA planning. • Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing, including emulators and real devices. • Bonus: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and test reporting tools like TestRail or Allure.
