Building Services Department Manager

You are a Department Manager at PM Group, a leading international engineering, architecture, project, and construction management firm with a global presence. Your primary responsibility is to facilitate communication between Senior Management and Engineers within the Building Services team in Bangalore. It is essential to develop and expand the current team to fulfill project commitments and accommodate the increasing Building Services opportunities. Your role also involves acting as a Building Services Engineer on International Projects, understanding the project office requirements, preparing estimates, planning work streams, and ensuring project execution aligns with the team's needs. You will be responsible for recruiting HVAC/Utility Design Engineers and Designers to support the company's growth plans and project requirements. Onboarding new hires through technical induction and discipline training is a crucial part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will assist in resource planning and allocation, guaranteeing that Department Design Services comply with PM Group's Quality Management System. Collaborating with HR on employee development, including appraisals, is an integral aspect of your role. To excel in this position, you should ideally possess a degree in Engineering with 15-20 years of relevant experience in EPC Project Delivery as a Building Services Department Manager. Your expertise should include Building Services (HVAC) Design, Utility Design, and an understanding of BMS design. Demonstrated proficiency in project lifecycle workflows, strong organizational and collaborative skills, and proven leadership and mentoring capabilities are essential. A commercial focus, self-starting attitude, and excellent communication skills are also key qualifications for this role.
