Role & responsibilities MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) BMS (Building Management System) Automation Engineer designs, implements, and maintains building automation systems, focusing on optimizing building performance and energy efficiency. This role involves system integration, troubleshooting, and collaboration with various stakeholders. Design and Development: Creating and developing BMS systems, including selecting hardware and software components. Installation and Commissioning: Overseeing the installation and setup of BMS systems to ensure they meet project specifications and regulatory standards. System Integration: Integrating BMS with other building systems like HVAC, lighting, security, and fire safety. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnosing and resolving issues within the BMS, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal system performance. Energy Efficiency: Optimizing BMS settings and configurations to reduce energy consumption and operational costs. Collaboration: Working with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure the BMS meets project requirements and building needs. Documentation: Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including system schematics, wiring diagrams, and user manuals. Preferred candidate profile Diploma / BE in Instrumentation OR Electrical OR Mechanical Experienced in BMS design and implementation. Proficient in programming languages used in BMS (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, KNX). Strong understanding of HVAC, lighting, and security systems. Experience with building automation software and hardware. Solid background in electrical systems and circuit design. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. Familiarity with energy efficiency standards and practices. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment. Project management certification is a plus (PMP or similar). Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with effective time management. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in building systems.

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled ELV (Extra Low Voltage) Design Engineer responsible for designing and implementing ELV systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in ELV systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, BMS, and Public Address systems, ensuring projects meet technical specifications and client requirements. Key Responsibilities: Design and Planning: Develop comprehensive ELV system designs, including layouts, technical specifications, and schematics. Prepare BOQs, system architecture diagrams, and equipment specifications. System Integration: Coordinate ELV system integration with other building systems such as HVAC, lighting, and plumbing. Ensure compatibility and seamless functionality of all ELV systems. Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth execution. Participate in client meetings to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance. Compliance and Standards: Ensure designs comply with industry standards, local regulations, and project specifications. Keep updated on advancements in ELV technology and best practices. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate design documentation, including AutoCAD drawings, calculations, and technical reports. Prepare test procedures, commissioning plans, and as-built drawings post-installation. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in ELV systems design and implementation. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office. Knowledge of relevant ELV standards and codes. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. Preferred: Experience with leading channel partners (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Bosch, Schneider, Jonhson Control). Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling). Work Conditions: Office-based with occasional site visits. Some travel may be required to attend client meetings or site inspections.
