Breeding Farm Supervisor

A breeder farm supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a poultry breeder farm to ensure the production of high-quality hatching eggs. Their duties include managing farm staff, supervising flock health and feeding, maintaining biosecurity, collecting and recording data like egg production, and ensuring daily tasks like cleaning and egg collection are completed efficiently. The role requires a combination of leadership and technical poultry management skills, with a Bachelor's degree in an animal science-related field often preferred but not always mandatory. Key responsibilities

• Staff and operations management: Allocate work to farm laborers, supervise their duties, and manage day-to-day activities to ensure smooth operations.
• Flock and farm management: Monitor flock health, nutrition, and fertility, and ensure biosecurity procedures are followed to prevent disease.
• Data and reporting: Track and update daily reports, including production numbers, stock details, and mortality, and reconcile records.
• Maintenance: Oversee and perform tasks such as cleaning water lines and feeding troughs, and managing feed distribution.
• Egg production: Supervise the collection of hatching eggs and ensure the collected numbers match inventory records.
• Inventory and supplies: Maintain the required stock of medicine and feed.
