Role Overview As a bookkeeper at Clearhouse LLP, your role will involve preparing accounting records, reconciling financial statements, preparing tax returns, studying financial trends, and handling various financial transactions. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy of financial data and providing essential support to the organization. Key Responsibilities - Prepare accounting records by compiling and analyzing account information. - Reconcile the company's financial records to ensure the accuracy of financial statements. - Prepare tax returns for businesses in the USA and Canada. - Post financial transactions to accounts and generate financial statements. - Study financial trends to forecast future business needs. - Prepare and reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and Goods and Service Tax workings. Qualifications Required - Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field. - Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems. - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping with Canadian accounting and bookkeeping. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. - Strong knowledge of Quickbooks, Sage, Caseware, or similar accounting software packages. - Experience with other tax preparation and accounting software. - Proficient in speaking and writing English. - Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. - Detail-oriented and capable of prioritizing tasks. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. - Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple reporting. - Availability to work in the Eastern time zone as required.,
