Job Description

JobTitle: BIW Robotics Simulation Engineer

Location:

BIW Robotics Simulation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Perform
robotic simulation for BIW (Body-in-White)
processes in the
automotive manufacturing
domain.
Conduct
robot path programming
,
tool/gun validation
, and
work cell preparation
.
Handle
fixture, tool, and gun kinematics
setup and validation.
Optimize
plant layout
and support in equipment/tool/mock-up identification.
Simulate various manufacturing processes including:

Spot welding
,
riveting
,
adhesive & sealing
,
stud welding
,
material handling
(Optional)
Arc welding
,
hemming
,
clinching
,
laser welding
,
screwing

Finalize
weld gun selection
, validate
weld spot distribution
, and prepare robot movement paths.
Ensure
cycle time analysis and optimization
to improve efficiency.
Maintain clear
documentation
of simulation setups and test results.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams; demonstrate flexibility and ability to manage complexity.

Required Skills:

3-5 years of experience
in
BIW robotic simulation
.
Experience with
robot brands
: Fanuc, Motoman, KUKA, ABB (others are a plus).
Proficiency in simulation software:

Dassault Delmia V5
3DX
Siemens Process Simulate

Strong understanding of
RCS (Robot Control Simulation)
,
OLP (Offline Programming)
.
Good communication skills and a strong
team player
