Job Summary

BIW Robotics Simulation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Perform
BIW robotic simulation
for various automotive manufacturing processes.
Design and simulate
robotic cells
, including
tool/gun kinematics
,
robot path preparation
, and
weld spot validation
.
Support
fixture design
,
weld gun finalization
, and
work cell setup
.
Execute
layout optimization
to enhance efficiency and throughput.
Simulate and validate manufacturing processes such as:

Spot welding
,
riveting
,
adhesive & sealing
,
stud welding
,
material handling
Arc welding
(
MIG/MAG

mandatory
)
(Nice to have)
Hemming
,
clinching
,
laser welding
,
screwing

Identify and recommend tools, equipment, and mockups required for above processes.
Contribute to
offline programming (OLP)
and
robot control simulation (RCS)
activities.
Conduct
cycle time analysis and optimization
for robotic operations.
Prepare and maintain
technical documentation
related to simulations and validations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical inputs and updates.

Required Skills & Experience

3-5 years of experience
in
BIW robotic simulation
in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with industrial robots:

Fanuc
,
Motoman
,
KUKA
,
ABB
(others are a plus)

Proficient in:

Dassault Delmia V5
3DX (3DExperience)
Siemens Process Simulate

Strong knowledge of
fixture/tool/gun kinematics
, robot programming, and path validation.
Experience in
Arc welding (MIG/MAG)
is a
must
.
Good understanding of
manufacturing processes
and
layout optimization
.
Knowledge of
OLP
,
RCS
, and
cycle time analysis
is an advantage.
Excellent
communication skills
, strong
team player
, and ability to
handle complex simulations
.
