Biomedical Engineer

The role involves reviewing equipment pre-installation prerequisites for the clinical areas in coordination with the Project team to finalize equipment installation locations. A feasibility report needs to be generated to assess equipment utility needs such as space requirements, dimensions, size, shape, weight, heat load, electrical power plan, water and drainage requirements, dedicated earthing, rigging path, and internet connection. This includes compiling equipment information from manufacturers, installation data, specifications, brochures, catalogues, and other relevant data from equipment vendors before installation. Assisting the admin department in liaising with the liaison officer to obtain necessary licenses for equipment operation, where applicable (e.g., AERB, PNDT). Receiving new equipment at the arrival dock, checking it as per the terms and conditions in the purchase order (main equipment and accessories), and transferring it to the desired location for initial setup and testing before use. Ensuring equipment installation is supervised by a company engineer, conducting equipment testing for electrical safety, calibration, and operational verification. Commissioning the equipment in coordination with the company engineer and maintaining records such as installation reports, warranty cards, service manuals, and maintenance schedules for all equipment. Conducting end-user training programs for high modality and critical care equipment is also part of the responsibilities.,
