BIM Modeler/Junior BIM Modeler (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing)

MEP BIM Modeler

Job Purpose:

To develop, manage, and coordinate detailed 3D BIM models for MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) using Autodesk Revit and related software, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local authority standards (like Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, SAFAT), and consultant coordination requirements.

General Responsibilities:

• Create, modify, and update MEP Revit models (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, etc.)
• Generate detailed shop drawings and coordinated services layouts from BIM models.
• Maintain up-to-date Revit families, templates, and shared parameters.
• Ensure all models meet BIM Execution Plan (BEP) requirements and LOD 300400.
• Participate in model coordination meetings with architects, structural engineers, and contractors.
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks or BIM Collaborate Pro, and resolve coordination issues.
• Extract schedules, quantities, and BOQs from Revit models as required.
• Ensure all documentation complies with local authority standards (DM, DEWA, DCD, SAFAT, etc.).
• Update drawings and models as per site changes, RFIs, or consultant comments.
• Collaborate with BIM Coordinators, Design Engineers, and Project Managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Modeling: Prepare accurate and detailed 3D MEP models in Revit
• Drawing: Production Produce HVAC, drainage, water supply, firefighting, and electrical drawings
• Coordination: Check and coordinate with architectural and structural models
• Standards: Follow project-specific BIM standards and UAE authority regulations
• Quality: Control Ensure model accuracy, discipline alignment, and drawing clarity
• Documentation: Maintain version control, documentation logs, and revision tracking

Key Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services
• Experience: 2-5 years minimum in MEP BIM modeling in the GCC (preferably UAE)
• Software: Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP), AutoCAD, Navisworks
• Knowledge of BIM Collaborate Pro or BIM 360 preferred
• Regulations: Familiarity with Dubai Municipality (DM), SAFAT, DEWA, DCD submission standards
• Skills: Attention to detail, teamwork, model discipline, and documentation accuracy
• Language Good English communication for documentation and coordination
• Advantage: Knowledge of HAP, DuctSizer, or other HVAC design tools is a plus

Optional but Preferred:

• Hands-on experience with cloud collaboration (BIM Collaborate Pro).
• Experience on mega projects or design consultancy environments.
• Awareness of ASHRAE, CIBSE, or LEED standards.

MEP Junior BIM Modeler

Job Role:

• Create and update MEP models (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical) in

  Autodesk Revit

• Generate coordinated shop drawings.
• Follow project standards and UAE authority regulations (DM, DEWA, DCD, etc.).
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve clashes and meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

  : 01 year (Freshers with Revit skills can apply)

  : Revit MEP (must), AutoCAD

  : Attention to detail, teamwork, willingness to learn
