Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled BIM Engineer \u2013 M echanical & P lumbing to join our dynamic team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in creating, managing, and coordinating detailed BIM models for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the seamless integration of MEP designs into project workflows .
Key Responsibilities:
1. BIM Model Creation and Management:
- Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for MEP systems using Revit and Navisworks .
- Ensure models comply with project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and Level of Development (LOD) standards .
2. Coordination:
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve clashes and ensure coordinated design .
- Conduct clash detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks .
3. Documentation:
- Extract accurate construction documents, shop drawings, and schedules from BIM models .
- Ensure compliance with applicable US/UK standards (e.g., ASHRAE, IPC, U PC, BS Standards) and project requirements .
4. Quality Assurance and Control:
- Conduct regular model audits to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to standards .
- Implement QA/QC processes to ensure model integrity and design consistency .
5. Technical Expertise:
- Support the development and implementation of Dynamo scripts for model automation .
- Provide technical guidance on BIM workflows and best practices to junior team members .
6. Project Support:
- Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and client discussions .
- Address RFIs and provide MEP-related solutions during all project phases .
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor\u2019s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent .
Experience:
- 2- 3 years of experience as a BIM Engineer specializing in MEP systems .
- Experience working on US/UK projects is must .
Software Proficiency:
- Expertise in Autodesk Revit (MEP) and Navisworks .
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Dynamo, and BIM 360
