Billing Engineer MEP

Role Description

This is a full time hybrid role located in Delhi, India, with some work from home acceptable. As a Billing Engineer MEP at Irama Studio, you will be responsible for managing and preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), performing rate analyses, and utilizing billing systems for the construction projects. You will also conduct quantity surveying, track project costs, and ensure accurate documentation of all billing-related activities. Your day-to-day tasks will involve collaboration with project managers and on-site engineers to verify quantities and rates.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process Running Account (RA) bills accurately based on actual site progress.
• Identify, document, and draft claims for variations, deviations, and extra items not included in the original contract.
• Lead the reconciliation and preparation of final bills for project closure.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure that the work completed physically matches the billing submissions.
• Liaise with the site team and client representatives to perform joint measurements and reconcile quantity estimations.
• Review and verify subcontractor and vendor bills against work orders and site progress.
• Maintain an organized Management Information System (MIS) for all billing, cost-related records, and payment tracking.
• Maintain absolute accuracy in measurement books (MB) and site records to support billing claims.

Qualifications

• Experience with Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Quantity Surveying
• Proficiency in Billing Systems and Rate Analysis
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience in the construction or MEP industry is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
