System Maintenance Engineer - SAP Knowledge (B1 / Hana) A System Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and longevity of equipment, machinery, and systems within a facility or organization. They perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, implement repairs, and develop strategies to optimize performance and minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities: Performing routine maintenance: This includes tasks like lubrication, cleaning, and inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate. Troubleshooting and repairing equipment: Diagnosing faults, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions to restore equipment to operational status. Developing and implementing maintenance procedures: Creating and executing preventive maintenance programs, predictive maintenance strategies, and other maintenance approaches to optimize equipment lifespan and performance. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations: Adhering to safety protocols, operating equipment safely, and ensuring the workplace is a safe environment for all. Maintaining detailed records: Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance data, and any issues encountered. Collaborating with other teams: Working with production, engineering, and other departments to coordinate maintenance efforts and minimize disruption to operations. Staying updated on industry advancements: Keeping abreast of new technologies, maintenance techniques, and best practices to improve their work and optimize equipment performance. Optimizing production schedules based on factors like capacity, material availability, and customer requirements. Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Determining the exact quantities and timing of raw materials, components, and subassemblies required for production. Generating purchase orders for external suppliers and production orders for internal manufacturing. Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring timely procurement of materials. Capacity Planning: Ensuring that sufficient resources (machines, personnel) are available to meet production targets. Identifying and resolving capacity constraints.
