Role & responsibilities The BESS Technical Manager will lead the design, development, and implementation of battery energy storage systems for renewable energy integration. The role involves managing technical operations, project execution, and providing technical expertise to optimize energy storage solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Lead the design and specification of BESS solutions for renewable energy and grid applications. Evaluate and select suitable battery technologies and integrate them into project designs. Project Management: Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of BESS systems. Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure project delivery within timelines and budgets. Technical Expertise: Analyze system performance and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability. Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues related to BESS components and systems. Regulatory and Safety Compliance: Ensure all designs and implementations comply with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans for technical challenges. Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to meet project specifications. Provide technical training and support to customers and team members. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors/Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field. Strong knowledge of battery storage technologies, renewable energy systems, and power electronics. Proficiency in simulation tools and design software for energy systems.
