Job Description

Job Overview The Certification & RLMM Specialist will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining all necessary certifications and regulatory approvals for the companys wind turbine models. The role includes handling RLMM (Revised List of Models & Manufacturers) approvals, type certification, grid code compliance, third-party audits, and factory evaluations to ensure adherence to national and international standards. Key Responsibilities 1. RLMM Approval & Compliance Manage the RLMM listing process for wind turbine models. Ensure compliance with MNRE guidelines and RLMM requirements. Coordinate with MNRE, NIWE, and other regulatory authorities. Prepare and submit applications, documentation, and test reports. 2. Wind Turbine Type Certification Oversee type certification in compliance with IEC 61400 and other applicable standards. Liaise with certification agencies such as DNV, TV, UL, MNRE, C-WET/NIWE. Manage testing and evaluation for power performance, structural integrity, and safety compliance. Ensure compliance with grid code requirements for different states. 3. Third-Party Evaluations & Factory Audits Handle third-party inspections and audits for certification. Ensure factory evaluations meet MNRE and certification body standards. Oversee QA/QC processes for compliance with RLMM and certification norms. Address non-conformities and corrective actions raised by auditors. 4. Documentation & Reporting Maintain records of all certifications, approvals, test results, and audit reports. Track and manage certification renewals and updates. Conduct gap analysis to ensure continued regulatory compliance. 5. Stakeholder Coordination Act as the primary contact for certification bodies, MNRE, NIWE, and RLMM regulators. Work with engineering, R&D, and manufacturing teams to align processes with certification requirements. Provide guidance to internal teams on certification timelines and procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Expertise Strong knowledge of RLMM, MNRE guidelines, IEC 61400, and wind turbine certification processes. Experience with grid code compliance, power curve testing, and structural validation. Familiarity with DNV, TV, UL, NIWE/C-WET, and other certification bodies. Experience & Background 4+ years of experience in wind turbine certification, regulatory compliance, or RLMM-related activities. Prior experience in renewable energy certification, factory audits, and product testing. Experience in handling third-party audits and technical evaluations. Soft Skills Strong project management and coordination skills. Ability to analyze technical data and prepare compliance reports. Detail-oriented with a focus on regulatory documentation and quality control. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related fields. Prior experience working with wind turbine OEMs, certification agencies, or regulatory bodies.
