Supplier Quality/ Sr Engineer

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Perform supplier quality audits as per plan and management of the supplier corrective action process. Supplier parts development (able to manage development activities with minimal guidance / support) SPTT/PPAP documents review & approval. SPTT/PPAP milestone audit. Able to read & understand drawings, GD & T proficient. Basic measurement skill [Usage of basic measuring equipment Vernier, Micrometer, Height gauge, Profile projector etc] and able to interpret CMM, Roughness, Roundness & Metallurgical test reports Commodity knowledge in either Functional parts, Casting, Forging, Stamping Processes, Machining of Cast or Forged parts, Wiring harness, Mechatronics & Resin parts (Familiar in min 3 or more) Sound Knowledge on Engine parts machining (Block, Head, Crank Shaft, Cam Shaft, Con.Rod, Timing chain Case / Cover, Piston) Good problem-solving skills with thorough understanding of 8D report process, 5 Why, SPC, 7QC tools, including troubleshooting methods, risk analysis, statistics, and auditing. Able to judge whether suitable countermeasures are taken and guide suppliers for analysis & improve quality. Experience & Exposure in Global sourcing will be added advantage Self-driven with minimal guidance & support. Attitude with Quick and speedy action. Willing to travel 50% of the time. Experience Automotive knowledge is preferred with Engine parts background. Supplier Quality / Supplier development basic knowledge is preferred.
