Beam Saw Operator

As a Beam Saw Operator (HOMAG Panel Saw Machine) in the Production/Woodworking department, your role will involve operating, monitoring, and maintaining the HOMAG Beam Saw machine to cut panels (MDF, particle board, plywood, laminates, etc.) according to production requirements. You will interpret cutting lists, optimize material usage, ensure accuracy, and maintain a safe and clean working environment. Key Responsibilities: - Efficiently operate the HOMAG Beam Saw machine to cut boards into required sizes. - Read and interpret cutting lists, work orders, and technical drawings. - Program and nest using machine software for optimal panel cutting. - Perform quality checks on dimensions, edges, and surface finish. - Minimize material waste through effective cutting plans and proper handling. - Conduct daily machine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, blade checks). - Ensure adherence to safety standards and proper use of PPE. - Troubleshoot minor mechanical and software issues on the beam saw. - Maintain accurate production records (cutting time, material used, wastage). - Collaborate with CNC, Edge Banding, and other downstream processes for workflow efficiency. Skills & Competencies: - Experience in operating HOMAG Beam Saw or similar woodworking machinery. - Basic knowledge of panel sizing, nesting, and optimization software. - Ability to read technical drawings and cutting lists with strong attention to detail. - Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting. - Knowledge of safety procedures in woodworking production. Qualifications: - Minimum High School / ITI / Diploma in Woodworking, Mechanical, or related field. - 3 years of experience as a Beam Saw / Panel Saw operator, preferably on HOMAG machines. - Training or certification on CNC woodworking machinery is an added advantage. Your work location will be in person, and the salary can go up to 30,000 depending on your experience. This is a full-time job with walk-in job types.
