Beam Saw Operator

As an operator of beam saw machinery, your role involves cutting wood panels, MDF, and board materials with precision. Your responsibilities will include: - Operating beam saw machines based on job specifications and drawings - Reading and interpreting cutting lists, technical drawings, and job orders - Setting up machines with adjustments for speed, blade height, and guides - Ensuring accurate positioning and securing of materials for cutting - Performing quality checks to meet specifications and tolerances - Monitoring machine operation and identifying malfunctions - Maintaining a clean and safe work environment - Conducting routine maintenance and minor repairs - Keeping accurate production and machine logs - Communicating with supervisors and team members regarding production issues and improvements To be successful in this role, you should possess: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred - Previous experience in operating beam saw or panel saw machines - Understanding of machine operation, safety practices, and production processes - Ability to read technical drawings and cutting lists - Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills - Physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods - Attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred skills that would be beneficial include experience with CNC beam saw machines and familiarity with optimization software.
