Job Title: Bay Owner - AM/DM - Cold Drawing Process - Bright Bar - Operations

Location: Boisar, Maharashtra

Qualification: B.Tech / BE / Diploma - Mechanical / Production

Purpose of the role:

The Incumbent will be will be responsible for overseeing and managing the cold drawing operations within the bright bar division. The role focuses on ensuring timely production, quality assurance, resource optimization, team management, and continuous improvement in processes, while strictly adhering to safety and cost control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Execution

• Develop and implement daily and shift-wise production schedules to ensure timely delivery and efficient resource utilization.

Team Management

• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of operators and technicians, providing regular training, performance feedback, and guidance.

Quality Assurance

• Implement and maintain stringent quality control procedures to ensure that finished bright bars meet internal and customer specifications.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce workplace safety policies, conduct regular safety audits, and foster a culture of zero accidents.

Resource Optimization

• Maximize the effective use of manpower, equipment, tooling, and raw materials to meet production targets while minimizing waste and rework.

Process Improvement

• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in cold drawing operations and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Cost Control

• Monitor production costs and ensure operations stay within defined budgetary limits without compromising quality or output.

Reporting & Coordination

• Maintain accurate production records, downtime logs, and quality reports. Collaborate with planning, quality, maintenance, and logistics teams for smooth plant operations.

Equipment Maintenance Oversight

• Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of cold drawing machines and tools, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Training & Development

• Conduct skill development and technical training programs for shop-floor personnel to build capabilities and enhance operational efficiency.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and Lean initiatives to improve line productivity, process quality, and shop-floor discipline.

Inventory Management

• Monitor and manage raw material, tooling, and finished goods inventory to ensure uninterrupted production flow and efficient stock turnover.
