Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer at Pravaig, your role involves designing, developing, and executing core battery electrical system components and assemblies. You will be responsible for defining, documenting, and designing battery pack and battery module bussing and wiring components, as well as overseeing the validation of these components and assemblies. Your technical knowledge will be crucial in driving innovative designs and resolving challenges in new product development activities. Key Responsibilities: - Take technical ownership and deliver electrical and electronics design throughout the development cycle. - Provide engineering support for the development of electronic hardware systems, including system integration. - Support prototype and engineering build during the development phase. - Expertise in various areas such as contactor control, EMI, EMC, electrical power distribution, functional safety, etc. - Define, size, select, and design cell electrical interconnections & bussing, module and pack high current and high voltage electrical interconnections & bussing, fusing, sensing, and control circuitry. - Collaborate with vendors to develop custom components meeting design requirements. - Work with the mechanical engineering team to develop battery modules and protection control systems. - Ensure proper integration of the battery into the final system at the assembly site. - Conduct failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective action, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders. - Improve the high-voltage and high-power battery pack electrical and electronics architecture. - Ensure successful integration with other subsystems within the drivetrain. - Mentor and advise Design Release Engineers (DREs) on the team. Desired Qualifications: - Strong electrical and electronics fundamentals. - Experience in implementing and selecting high-current carrying cables and high-voltage cables and busbars. - Proficiency in DFM, DFMEA, PFMEA, and DFA. - Basic understanding of CAD tools like SOLIDWORK or UG NX and willingness to learn new tools. - Strong leadership skills, proactive behavior, and excellent communication skills. - Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering. - Familiarity with developing products from concept to production. - Experience in micro-controller hardware implementation, mixed signal circuit design, and sensor integration. - Demonstrated knowledge of electrical tests and equipment, particularly in HV EV charging systems.
