Job Description

We have an Urgent Opening for the position of Basic Forward Design Engineer

Location :-Mumbai, Fort

Key Responsibilities:

Review and Interpretation of Outline Specifications

Understand owner requirements and convert into technical design input.

Preliminary Design Calculations

Conduct initial weight estimation, draft, displacement, and structural calculations.

General Arrangement and Tank Plan Preparation

Design and layout of compartments, machinery spaces, accommodations, and tanks.

Hydrostatic and Hydrodynamic Calculations

Analyse ship stability, buoyancy, and hydrodynamic performance.

Hull Form and Lines Plan Development

Create 2D and 3D representations including offset tables.

Preliminary Trim and Stability Analysis

Prepare documentation for intact stability per IMO and Class guidelines.

Required Skills:

Familiarity with Class rules (DNV, ABS, BV, etc.) and IACS standards.
Skilled in 2D/3D design tools: AutoCAD, AVEVA Marine, Cadmatic, TTM etc.
Sound knowledge of initial design, stability, structural drawing and powering calculation.
