Barista

A Barista's primary role is to prepare and serve coffee and other beverages, handle customer orders, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. They are also responsible for operating coffee equipment, processing payments, and providing excellent customer service. A high school diploma or equivalent is often required, along with strong communication and multi-tasking skills.  Key Responsibilities: Beverage Preparation: Preparing a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, according to customer preferences and established recipes.  Customer Service: Greeting customers, taking orders, providing recommendations, and addressing customer inquiries or concerns.  Equipment Operation: Operating coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.  Cash Handling: Processing payments accurately, including cash and credit card transactions.  Cleanliness & Organization: Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, and ensuring a tidy environment.  Food Preparation: Preparing simple food items like pastries and sandwiches, as needed.  Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies.  Skills & Qualifications: Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to interact with customers and team members.  Customer Service: Ability to provide excellent customer service and create a positive experience.  Multi-tasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, especially during busy periods.  Attention to Detail: Paying close attention to detail when preparing drinks and handling orders.  Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.  Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.  Knowledge of Coffee: Understanding of coffee brewing methods, different types of coffee beans, and basic latte art.  Food Safety: Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
