As we expand our presence, we are looking for a skilled and passionate Barista who can bring our story to life through the perfect cup.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and sophisticated female Barista to be the operational face of Tea Stories at our exclusive tea counter/kiosk inside Cocoa Caffe. You will be primarily responsible for the expert preparation and exquisite service of our premium teas, creating a memorable and engaging brand experience for every customer by brewing to perfection, sharing the unique stories behind our teas, and driving sales.

This is a key role that requires a blend of elegant beverage craftsmanship, compelling storytelling, and a genuine passion for connecting with people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expert Tea Preparation & Service: Master and execute the precise brewing techniques for all our single-estate teas (hot and cold), ensuring consistency, quality, and an exceptional taste experience with every cup.
• Conduct Guided Tastings: Proactively invite customers to experience our teas by preparing sample cups, guiding them through the tasting process, and explaining the unique flavor profiles.
• Be a Storyteller: Articulately narrate the Tea Stories brand story, the heritage of our estates in Munnar, and the journey of our tea from the garden to the perfect cup.
• Drive Sales: Actively promote and sell both prepared beverages and our retail tea packs from the kiosk, confidently explaining the value and quality of each product to achieve sales targets.
• Customer Engagement: Build a warm and welcoming atmosphere, offer expert pairing suggestions, answer customer questions with expertise, and create a positive, lasting impression of the brand.
• Station Management: Ensure the tea preparation station, equipment, and sales kiosk are impeccably clean, visually appealing, and well-stocked at all times.
• Reporting: Provide daily reports on beverage and retail sales figures, inventory needs, and customer feedback.

Who You Are (Our Ideal Candidate):

• A Skilled Barista: You have proven experience (or a strong foundational knowledge) in beverage preparation, preferably with a focus on specialty tea or coffee. Precision and care in execution are essential.
• An Exceptional Communicator: You have excellent verbal skills in both English and Malayalam, with the ability to speak clearly and confidently to a diverse audience.
• A Natural Storyteller: You are passionate and engaging, capable of weaving the tea's heritage into the service experience.
• Polished & Professional: You have a well-groomed appearance and a professional, courteous demeanor that aligns with a premium brand.
• Confident & Proactive: You are outgoing, enjoy interacting with new people, and are not shy about approaching potential customers or suggesting products.
• Reliable & Independent: You are punctual, responsible, and can manage your preparation, service, and sales responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Experience: Previous experience as a Barista, in specialty tea/coffee service, or premium hospitality/retail is highly preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 25 per week

Work Location: In person
