Bar Staff/Server

ob Summary:

The Bar Waiter/Barman is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to guests by preparing and serving drinks promptly and professionally. The role ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hospitality, and product knowledge in the bar area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet guests courteously and take drink and snack orders efficiently.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as per standard recipes.
• Ensure the bar counter, seating area, glassware, and equipment are clean and well-maintained.
• Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
• Maintain accurate records of sales and ensure proper billing and cash handling.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies as required.
• Maintain knowledge of all beverages, cocktails, and promotions offered by the hotel.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and report major issues to the Bar Captain or Manager.
• Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations in accordance with hotel policies.
• Cooperate with other F&B team members to ensure smooth service operations.
• Assist in monthly inventory and control wastage through proper pouring techniques.
• Uphold the brand standards and deliver memorable guest experiences.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Bar Waiter/Barman in a 3/4/5-star property.
• Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktail preparation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional grooming and a pleasant personality.
• Basic knowledge of POS and billing systems.
• Certification in Bartending or Food & Beverage Service is an added advantage.
