Bar Cashier

Job Summary:

The Bar Cashier is responsible for handling all cash and credit transactions at the bar counter accurately and efficiently. The role involves billing customer orders, maintaining sales records, reconciling daily cash, and supporting smooth operations of the bar with honesty and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle all billing and payment transactions (cash, card, or digital payments) efficiently and accurately.
• Issue bills and receipts to customers using the POS system.
• Maintain an accurate cash float and ensure proper handover at the end of the shift.
• Record daily sales and reconcile with system reports.
• Ensure that all transactions are recorded in compliance with company policies.
• Assist bartenders and service staff with order entry and billing support.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the cashier counter.
• Report any discrepancies, shortages, or system issues to the Bar Manager immediately.
• Support in preparing daily sales summaries and submitting cash reports to Accounts.
• Uphold the highest standards of integrity, accuracy, and customer service.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a cashier, preferably in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
• Age must be 23 above.
• Basic knowledge of billing systems / POS operation.
• Strong numerical and communication skills.
• Honest, reliable, and well-organized.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
