Job Title: Banquet Captain For Five Star Classification Hotel
Department: Food & Beverage – Banquets
Reports To: Banquet Manager

Job Summary

The Banquet Captain is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing banquet events and functions. This role ensures that all banquet operations are conducted smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with the hotel’s standards of service excellence. The Banquet Captain serves as the liaison between the banquet team, kitchen, and clients, ensuring guest satisfaction and seamless event delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise banquet staff in the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet functions.
  • Ensure that event spaces are properly arranged as per banquet event orders (BEOs) and client requirements.
  • Conduct pre-function meetings with staff to review service procedures, event details, and responsibilities.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide training, coaching, and feedback to maintain high service standards.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service.
  • Oversee guest service during events, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory of banquet supplies, equipment, and linens.
  • Assist in maintaining proper billing procedures and accurate reporting of event details.
  • Act as the point of contact for clients during events, ensuring satisfaction and resolving concerns.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in banquet operations or a supervisory role within a luxury hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
