Banquet Assistant

As a Food and Beverage Associate at The Ritz-Carlton Bangalore, your main responsibilities will include: - Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as per Banquet Event Order. - Set up tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts, and cordial carts. - Communicate special meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and requests to the kitchen. - Ensure timely clearing of courses and proper crumbing of tables. - Respond to and accommodate special banquet event arrangements. - Replenish buffet items for consistent freshness in presentation. - Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of your assigned station and service areas. - Bus tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware. In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also be expected to: - Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures. - Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to the manager. - Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect company assets, and uphold confidentiality. - Welcome and assist guests according to company standards, addressing their needs with genuine appreciation. - Support the team in achieving common goals and ensure adherence to quality standards. - Perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking, lifting objects, and moving items as required. - Demonstrate clear and professional communication with team members and guests. Qualifications Required: - Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. - Related Work Experience: Less than 1 year of related work experience. - Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required. - License or Certification: None required.
