Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sales Strategy & Target Achievement: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed individual and team sales targets for deposits, loans, investments, insurance, and other banking products. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and refine sales approaches. Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews to senior management. Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of banking sales executives/officers. Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to team members. Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on customer centricity and ethical practices. Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities for the sales team. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and high-net-worth individuals. Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a superior customer experience. Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to maximize customer value. Conduct client meetings and presentations to promote banking products and services. Operational Excellence & Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with internal policies, banking regulations (e.g., RBI guidelines), and ethical standards. Oversee the accurate and timely completion of all sales-related documentation and procedures. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations, Credit) to streamline processes and enhance service delivery. Monitor and manage sales pipeline, ensuring efficient lead conversion. Market Intelligence: Stay updated with industry trends, new product offerings, and regulatory changes in the banking sector. Provide feedback to product development teams based on customer needs and market demands. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree (MBA) is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive experience in banking sales, with at least 2 years in a team leading or supervisory role. Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets in retail banking. Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. In-depth knowledge of retail banking products (e.g., savings accounts, current accounts, personal loans, home loans, credit cards, mutual funds, insurance). Customer-centric approach with a strong commitment to service excellence. Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales data. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. High level of integrity and professional ethics.
