Backup L3 Administrator

Role & responsibilities

Backup Admin will support and maintain Customer backup and disaster recovery environments, ensuring their reliability and efficiency. This role involves assisting in the management of backup and DR solutions solutions, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with the team to enhance system performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the deployment and management of Rubrik, Veeam, CommVault, Netbackup, GCBDR and other technologies used in backup environments.
• Support Cloud Backup services and collaborate with other Datafabric teams.
• Monitor Backup& Disaster Recovery infrastructure, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
• Participate in the execution of system upgrades and patches.
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with teams in other towers to ensure integrated network functionality and security.
• Provide Tier 3 support, assisting with complex issue resolution and user inquiries.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply this knowledge to improve our customer"s infrastructure.

Qualification Requirements

• Experience in supporting Backup and &DR environments, with knowledge of: Rubrik, Veeam, NetBackup, Networker, Commvault. Storage based backup solutions like NetApp Snapcenter or Dell Recovery point are a plus.
• Familiarity with Virtual infrastructure and minimal Operating system knowledge required for agent troubleshooting.
• Is autonomous in running daily checks and regular tasks, and sharing information in the team 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Continuous learner with a keen interest in advancing technical skills.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor"s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with demonstrated knowledge in Backup and DR technologies.
