As a Backend Software Development Engineer at Cogoport, you will be a pivotal part of our team, involved in the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend systems that drive our state-of-the-art logistics platform. Working alongside a dynamic engineering team, your responsibilities will include crafting and enhancing robust backend features, ensuring high availability, and actively contributing to the platform's expansion. Your proficiency in Python/Kotlin will be instrumental in shaping our technology stack and fostering innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Manage multiple projects, ensuring smooth coordination with internal teams and external partners. - Develop large multi-tenant applications using Python/Kotlin. - Uphold best practices for Python/Kotlin development and enforce adherence across the codebase. - Create reusable backend libraries and modules for future utilization. - Translate design and wireframes into high-quality, maintainable code. - Implement unit tests and follow test-driven development (TDD) methodologies. - Collaborate with QA teams to support automated integration testing. - Stay abreast of current and future backend technologies and architecture trends. Key Requirements: - Possess a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in backend development. - Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python and/or Kotlin, with experience in at least one of these languages (knowledge of the other is advantageous). - Familiarity with backend frameworks like Django, Flask, FastAPI (for Python) or Spring Boot, Ktor (for Kotlin). - Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for deployment and infrastructure. - Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and experience in database partitioning and optimization. - Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus. - Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes. - Strong version control skills using Git.
