This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1500000 - Rs 4400000 (ie INR 15-44 LPA) Min Experience: 3 years Location: Pune JobType: full-time We are looking for skilled and experienced Backend Engineers to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable backend systems and collaborating closely with global counterparts. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate and develop backend software solutions. Design and implement robust and scalable web architectures. Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable databases and applications. Participate in Agile ceremonies including scrums, sprint planning, and retrospectives with global team counterparts. Implement CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality, automated deployments. Develop backend systems supporting responsive and mobile-friendly applications. Troubleshoot, debug, and improve application performance with innovative solutions. Follow coding best practices and contribute to maintaining a high standard of software quality. Support peer code reviews and mentor junior engineers as needed. Required Qualifications: Minimum5 yearsof hands-on experience inRubyorRuby on Railsdevelopment. Strong understanding ofobject-oriented programminganddesign patterns. Solid grasp ofRuby syntaxand common idioms. Proficient infront-end technologieslikeHTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and frameworks likeAngular, React, or Node.js. Experience withrelationalandNoSQL databasessuch asPostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc. Knowledge ofweb servers(e.g., Apache) and modernUI/UX design principles. Experience with unit testing and testing frameworks. Understanding of messaging systems likeActiveMQorRabbitMQ. Familiarity withDevOps, version control systems likeGitorSVN, and cloud technologies (e.g.,AWS). Commitment to writingclean, well-documented, and maintainable code. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: At least1 year of experience in e-commerce platforms. Understanding ofe-commerce marketplaceslikeAmazon.com,Walmart.com, etc. Prior experience inhigh-stakes business environments.
