Backend Engineer – Fintech (Mutual Funds Platform)

Role Summary:

We are building a regulated mutual fund investment platform involving KYC onboarding, bank mandates, and BSE StAR MF integrations.

We are looking for a hands-on backend engineer to build and integrate secure APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build REST APIs for user onboarding, KYC status, mandates, and MF transactions
• Integrate third-party APIs (KYC providers, bank mandate systems, BSE StAR MF)
• Handle webhooks, retries, and error cases
• Maintain secure data handling and basic logs
• Support testing and production go-live
• Tech Stack (Preferred)
• Node.js (NestJS) or Python (FastAPI)
• PostgreSQL
• Redis / background jobs
• Basic AWS / server deployment knowledge
• Must-Have Skills
• 2+ years backend/API development
• Experience with third-party API integrations
• Understanding of async systems (webhooks, retries)
• Willingness to work full-time from the office

Nice-to-Have:

• Fintech / payments / banking exposure
• Experience with secure data handling
