Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities: - Work on developing and maintaining backend software solutions using Python, FastAPI/Flask - Collaborate with the team to build reasoning agents that can process fragmented data and deliver accurate outputs - Contribute to workflow orchestration under audit constraints - Shape the technology stack, team dynamics, and product offerings as a founding engineer - Engage in problem-solving and innovation to tackle challenging issues related to finance, AI, and data engineering - Transition from a remote role to in-person office setting within 3 to 6 months from hiring in Bangalore Qualifications Required: - At least 4-8 years of backend software engineering experience - Strong background as a builder/founder, ideally in a VC-funded company with traction - Proficiency in Python, FastAPI/Flask - Graduated from a Top Tier University, specifically IITs - Demonstrated experience in competitive programming or Math Olympiad backgrounds - Previous experience working at a startup from seed to Series A/B - Blend of experience across unicorn or big tech companies and early-stage startups - Experience in ETL/data engineering is a plus Additional Company Details: The company has raised $8.5M seed round from notable investors and is founded by individuals with impressive backgrounds in technology and finance.
